Getting started
Connect a wallet, create a vault, write down the twelve words, deposit, withdraw.
Five steps. The wallet you connect pays fees and rent. It is never an authority over the vault, and the program never checks its signature to move value.
Connect a wallet
Open the app and connect the wallet whose funds you want to protect. It shares your address and nothing else. Nothing is signed at this point.
Create a vault
Choose a name and a type. The client generates a seed, derives the first set of 34 chain secrets from it, and computes their commitment. The vault is opened with that commitment by
init_vault. Its address is derived from your wallet and the vault’s label, so one wallet can hold several vaults.Write down the twelve words
They are shown once. They are the seed. Every one-time key the vault will ever use is derived from them. Keep them off any device that is online.
Deposit
A deposit is a system transfer into the vault’s address. It needs no commitment and no permission. Anyone can fund any vault.
Withdraw
Enter an amount and a destination, then type the twelve words. The client writes the request on chain, signs its digest with the current one-time key, and delivers the signature in five pieces. When the last transaction lands, the vault pays the destination and the lock rotates to a fresh commitment.
The full sequence, with what each transaction checks, is in Withdrawals.
